ADVANCED PLACEMENT

Advanced Placement classes include college coursework and curriculum. At the end of the course there is a comprehensive examination that, if passed at a sufficient level of proficiency, will earn significant college credit. Individual college and universities determine the level of college credit to issue based on results of the AP examinations and the internal policies of the institution.

Advanced Placement courses can replace required courses for high school graduation.

There is a $95 fee for the examination.

Check with your counselor if there are questions about transferring credit to your university of choice.
